Athletes Use Subliminal Perception as Part of Their Training Regime

An athlete does not just have to go through endless grueling training regimes teamed with special diets full of carbohydrates, proteins, and everything else energy-full - they have to ‘mentally prepare’ the body too.

On hearing the term ‘mental preparation’ being used, it makes you wonder what it means.

Mental preparation motivates and manipulates an athletes mind, allowing them to form a more positive attitude, and it is used as part of an athlete’s daily routine however, many different methods are available to use and the coach no doubt needs to research the best alternative therapies available for the individual they are training.

For a long time, the history of an athlete has included mental training using forms of psychology which is used on the inner mind, the subconscious mind, which controls attitudes and personality and is said to be able to alter the athletes’ technique and concentration by improving on thought processes that control the way the athlete moves thinks and therefore moves.

Sportsmen and sportswomen are subjected to hours and hours of training regimes to help them achieve their dreams, be it attending the Olympics or winning for their team. No doubt a grueling regime can become routine and rigid, and the average person would give up so very easily. But what about the mental preparation an athlete must perform? This perhaps doesn’t get as much focus as the physical aspect of their preparation. You know what I’m talking about. The mental hurdle a tennis player must overcome to break serve.
The pressure a team must bear when heavy favourites.

By using psychology within a training schedule that person is presumably given an increased chance of succeeding and not giving up on a lifetime of hard work.

Wanting to achieve certain targets in the first place is one thing, but actually training and performing to reach that target is another that needs dedication, practice, concentration and ability. Hypnotism and acupuncture are possibilities to altering your mental approach to the way you want it.

Another form is subliminal programming. Let’s talk more in detail about this method seeing as it’s having increasing popularity. To most of us Subliminal Programming rings a bell in the form of those weight loss tapes while you sleep that used to be around. Nowadays its in the form of software which is important because the user now has the ability to custom make their message. An athlete would then program a message like “my opponent is only human” in the aim of embedding this belief into their subconscious, affecting their aggression their confidence.

It could seem that with this realization the importance of mental conditioning has found an all new importance. Products like Subliminal PC and Brain Bullet promote software that allows users to boost self-esteem, confidence and performance. This type of programming is intended to instill new beliefs or over-ride negative thoughts or existing fears..

It is highly interesting when we think of an athlete that we think of talent and stamina, although we have to remember that as we work an athlete trains and this is perhaps their vocation. It can be hard to feel that we are following a vocation unless we really enjoy it and are rewarded at the end of the day, although one would imagine that an athlete does not gain any kind of reward until they have fine tuned their skills and can enter into various competitions. It is only then that they can compete and compare themselves to others from around the country, or worldwide, and even then they can find that they do not achieve standards expected.

This is why it can be so difficult to work to become an athlete and by imagining ourselves in their shoes we can get a small idea of the rituals they must go through and therefore we can see just how hard it is to be an athlete and how mental stimulation can really help. Coaches will invest in an athletes training to reap the benefits later down the line, ensuring that the sportsman or woman has to be truly dedicated.

Make judgment for yourself by researching the many different options available to an athlete, or an individual for that matter. But sports preparation and athletic training is just one area where subliminal programming is used. More common uses are for things like weight loss, quitting smoking, confidence in the boardroom etc Feel free to visit www.subliminalpc.com for further information relating to the subliminal software mentioned earlier.

Dance Instruction

If you are fond of dancing and want to seriously hone your skills or make a career out of dancing, you might consider getting formal dance instructions. Before you choose what type of instruction is most suited to your personality and budget, you might want to take note of the following considerations.

First, determine a goal for you and your instructor. Unless both the teacher and the student are aware of what one expects from the other, then progress might suffer. Draw up a clear teaching plan to answer a particular goal.

Second, maintain proper disposition, be focused, and concentrate on the task at hand. Both the teacher and the learner should be physically and mentally prepared to meet their goals. There should be mutual understanding and respect from both sides. A good instructor should not expect the student to learn new skills or undo old habits overnight. Likewise, an experienced instructor should know that students cannot perform all their old skills while learning new ones. A lot of patience and time is needed before a teacher and a student establish a good rapport.

Third, students should give the instructor time and leeway to teach. Likewise, the instructor should be allowed to exercise her own judgment and abilities. The teacher should teach skills to the students and not the other way around. She should be given proper rein on how he intends to teach the student so that set goals might be achieved. Failure to do so will lead to frustration and a need for a new instructor that will jive with the student’s needs and expectations.

Fourth, practice definitely makes perfect. As the saying goes, it is important to remember that dancing differs from learning mental skills since dancing requires constant practice. To be able to perform various dancing moves correctly, the body should be trained to function almost effortlessly as in a habitual fashion. Continuous repetition of a particular skill will lead to it becoming a habit, regardless of its acceptability. The body remembers actions it has performed the most.

Lastly, regularity and variety of dance instruction should be observed. Too much time off between lessons breaks up the learning process. This makes students forget, forcing teachers to repeat lessons.

Remember the points we have just raised as you choose the dance instruction suited for your needs and personality.

Brian Lara, the key for Westindess

As the world cup 2007 is coming nearer and nearer, there are some intriguing questions, which needs to be answered especially if you are a West Indian supporter. Though dispute between board and player associations has calm down a bit at least for the moment but the big question that remains to be answered is: Whether host nation is good enough to give some joy to the Caribbean people that are eagerly waiting some good news from their players.

There is no denying that appointment of Brian Charles Lara as a captain is a right decision especially when you take into consideration the captaincy of Shivnaraine Chanderpaul. Though many of the West Indian greats are against this decision, but the point is: Are there any suitable choices? Ramnaresh Sarwan as a player has matured a lot and has started converting 50s into big scores but I don’t think he is a leader. He lacks the killer instinct that one can see quite evidently in Brian Lara.

Next in the list is Chris Gayle. There is no doubt in his ability as a player. He is one of the most explosive batsmen in the world and in my opinion brilliant all rounder in the shorter form of game but seeing him as a skipper of a West Indian team. Give me a break? Westindess at the present moment need a person who can interact with players both on and off the field. Chris Gayle as a personality is so relax in the cricketing field that one can’t expect any different off the field.

All these things, clearly pinpoint that the appointment of Brian Lara as a captain of Westindess team until World cup is a best option for the host nation. Under the captaincy of Brian Lara, Westindess recently defeated Zimbabwe and more formidable and fancied opposition India recently. One can clearly see there is no dearth of talent in Westindess but what these players lacked is the consistency.

Look for instance at Marlon Samuels. Believe me, this player has so much talent but for one reason or another lacks consistency. Marlon Samuels who more or less struggled during the one day series against India and Zimbabwe played one of the scintillating knocks of the one day cricket against India in India to help Westindess clinch the rare away series victory. Player can’t lose his skill in matter of few years. Same thing happens with Ricardo Powell who also played a breathtaking knock against India at Singapore but at present has virtually disappeared. All these players have so much quality that it is indeed surprising why they don’t make full use of their ability?

If you look at the present one-day team of Westindess, one can clearly say that their batting is world class. Presence of players like Brian Lara, Ramnaresh Sarwan, Chris Gayle, Shivnaraine Chanderpaul makes them a real treat to watch. They can thrash any attack on their day. Furthermore, all these players are match winner in their own right. Daren Ganga has also started fulfilling some promise and if people like Wavell Hinds and Marlon Samuel start contributing too, Westindess batsman can be a headache to Lees, Akhtars, Muralis and Harmisons.

Coming to all rounder category, Dwayne Bravo, though not as good as Andrew Flintoff or Jacques Kallis but one thing for sure he can be termed as an all rounder in proper sense. His batting is improving with every passing game and as a bowler he has lots of tricks in his armory. Not only he can swing the new and old ball but most importantly has a very good slower bowl too. Ask Yuvraj Singh or any Indian fan about that slower ball? Dwayne Smith is also a very good one-day player but once again as is the case with players like Powell and Samuels, just don’t want to make full use of his talent.

Just a one glance at Dwayne Smith and you are bound to say ‘What a player’. But god knows why he wants to hit every ball for a six. Talking about West Indian bowling, there is promise galore in form of Fidel Edwards and Jerome Taylor but they lack necessary experience to tackle crunch situations especially in one-day cricket. And that’s where I think they can struggle a bit. If players like Gilchrist or Pieterson apply some pressure on these inexperienced bowlers, they can crumble. Ian Bradshaw and Corey Collymore are pretty experienced bowlers but sadly they lack the pace. On wicket keeping front, Denesh Ramdin and Carlton Baugh has immense potential both with the gloves and lower down with the bat. So there are no hassles there.

Keeping these things aside, it is of paramount importance that Brian Charles Lara leads from the front. Fact of the matter is if Westindess have to won the most coveted prize in one day cricket then not only Lara have to contribute heavily with the bat but also be instrumental in generating the team ethics within the players. They have to play as a team of eleven players not as an individual. If everything goes to the plan, it will be a perfect gift for the master of the game as well as for the people of Caribbean who deserve this title the most on the sheer basis of tradition, passion and what Westindess as a team have done to the world cricket.

Late Summer Buck Rubs

Early Fall Buck Rubs

Is there a Trophy in your woods? Before your archery deer hunt this fall, a slow walk through your hunting area during late August or September may reveal the signs of a wall hanger. White-tail bucks at this time of the year are trying to lose their velvet from their antlers. These rubs are difficult to find and many hunters ignore going out and locating them this early in the season. There are a couple of good reasons for searching these rubs out.

First, rubs being made this early are usually the largest bucks in your area. Your dominant bucks begin rubbing first and continue to rub throughout the season. By locating these first rubs, he will tell you his pattern for your early archery hunt. Wildlife biologists found that dominant bucks average about 300 rubs per year and up to over 500 rubs per year. Smaller less dominant bucks will usually start rubbing in late October. The smaller bucks have a much slower testosterone level which only starts to excite them when the does come into estrus. This is the reason why your hunting area looks like every small tree in your hunting spot has been run over by a lawnmower with dull blades in early November. In other words, finding buck rubs early on (August through September) may be showing you a true wall hanger.

The second reason for locating these early rubs is; setting up your stand or stands on these rub lines. If you wait until the immediate pre-rut to go out and scout for rubs, you may get a false sense of where the biggest buck has patterned himself. The fewer marked trees of the preseason may actually tell you about an individual buck, allowing you to set your stand before the hunting pressures alter his route. Setting your stand precisely where it is needed early in the season may determine whether you score on the big one. If your archery season begins in October, you should try to set your stands no later than the middle of September. This will allow things to settle down before your opening day of the archery season.

Setting up your stand around early rub lines should be done with good scouting in order to find the path or funnel the buck is using between his bedding ground and his feeding area. By placing your stand too close to the feeding area, it could mean the buck won’t get there in time for daylight shooting hours. Instead, place your stand closer to his bedding area, but not too close, so you don’t disturb his resting area. This will increase your chances of seeing the buck during legal shooting hours.

The early archery deer hunting season could just be your best chance of bagging your best buck ever. A little preseason scouting can make the difference of scoring big or simply struggling through another archery season. Preseason rubs are difficult to find, but when you do find them, your chance of bagging your trophy has just increased immensely! GOOD LUCK and GOOD HUNTING!

Cheerleading Uniforms

Cheerleading uniforms should be made ao that cheerleaders can stretch, slip, slide, and be tossed in the air without any confinement. Movements should look flawless in uniforms that compliment the total look of a cheerleader.

Cheerleading uniforms should also be stylish. Today’s cheerleader wears a variety of attractive outfits. The basic outfit consists of a short shirt and shell top. The tops are perfectly fitted and flatter the cheerleader’s body. Midriffs and boy cut briefs are also part of the latest trend in cheerleading uniforms.

Cheerleading shoes compliment the cheerleading uniform. Ordinary running shoes no longer apply as stunts and movements become more complicated to perform. The shoes must provide ankle support and should be cushioned properly since cheerleaders do a lot of jumping around. The most commonly used colors are black and white.

When purchasing cheerleading uniforms, the uniforms should be just that: similar from one outfit to another, regardless of size. The way the uniforms are cut, tailored, and otherwise designed, will see to it that the cheerleading team is seen as one unit, and not a gaggle of disparate performers. The uniforms should have markings so that when movements are done in sync, there is a dramatic artistic affect that the audience can discern.

And no matter what, always make sure the uniforms are functional. There is nothing worse than having to fuss with a badly-tailored cheerleading uniform right before you have to go on at halftime during the big game or at a competition. Be sure to rehearse and practice while wearing the uniforms, so as to avoid hassles when it comes time to shine.
